About Doug

Before moving to Pennsylvania, Doug Solter worked behind the scenes in local television for over twenty-five years in Oklahoma. He began writing screenplays in 1998, then made the switch to young adult fiction in 2012. His screenplays were semi and quarter finalists in the Academy of Motion Pictures Arts and Sciences' Nicholl Fellowships in Screenwriting.  Doug likes cats, loves the mountains, and one time walked the streets of Barcelona with a smile. Doug is a member of SCBWI and Pennwriters as well as a graduate of Oklahoma State.
